望八之年的葉景呂依然雙目炯炯，上衣口袋裡仍插著兩支鋼筆。他首次選擇在六一兒童節拍攝了照片，還修補了門牙，彌補老態，以取返老還童之意。 

經歷1958年的“大躍進”，中國的社會主義建設已在政治熱情的鼓動下，達到了前所未有的高潮，但隨之而來的天災人禍，卻令整個中國都陷入了一片迷茫之中。

Com a aproximação dos seus 80 anos, Ye Jinglü voltou a tirar uma fotografia de busto escolhendo, pela primeira vez, o dia Internacional da Criança (1 de Junho) para a ocasião. Os seus olhos ainda são claros e brilhantes e arranjou os dentes da frente de modo a ocultar os sinais da idade avançada. A escolha da data e o arranjo dentário tiveram por intenção mostrar rejuvenescimento. 

No bolso de Ye Jinglü estão, uma vez mais, duas canetas. O cenário do estúdio é uma tela de pano preto.

Ye Jinglü in the approach to his 80 years had another bust portrait taken, for the first time selecting Children’s Day (June 1) for the occasion. His eyes are still bright and shiny and he has had his front teeth fixed so as to conceal signs of his old ages. Both the date and the dental work were intended to show rejuvenation. 

Once more there are two pens in Ye Jinglü’s pocket. The studio background is a black screen cloth.
