葉景呂手扶書本，似在遐想，似在沉思。他左手無名指戴著戒指，坐在古羅馬風格的欄杆上，背景是依然是西方的鄉村小景，一條青石小路伸向遠方的牧場。葉景呂在說明中強調體重達到了145斤，相比七年前的69公斤，稍有增加。

在這年的肖像中，第一次出現了皮鞋。

這一年，葉景呂是坐姿，也就是從這年起，他開始了“一坐一站”每年交替拍攝的方法，一直持續到1940年暫停，整整26年時間。

Ye Jinglü, segura um livro, aparentemente perdido nos seus pensamentos. É retratado sentado em frente a uma balaustrada romana clássica, tendo como cenário um caminho de seixos verdes conduzindo a uma pradaria pastoral. Usa um anel no dedo anelar da mão esquerda. As suas notas fazem questão de apontar que o seu peso atingiu os 145 jin (uma medida chinesa equivalente a meio quilo), um aumento em relação aos 69 kg registados sete anos antes.

Agora com 34 anos, Ye Jinglü é retratado usando sapatos de pele pela primeira vez. É razoável pensar que na fotografia de 1909 na qual usa um fato ocidental, também usa sapatos de pele mas infelizmente estes não aparecem na fotografia. Ou possivelmente, não usou sapatos de pele mas antes sapatos de tecido que pensava não condizerem com o fato, pelo que terá dito ao fotógrafo para os manter fora do enquadramento. 

Neste ano adopta uma pose sentada. A partir deste ano começa a alternar as poses “sentado e em pé” em cada ano. Esta abordagem duraria 26 anos, sendo apenas suspensa em 1940.

Ye Jinglü holds a book, apparently lost in his thoughts. He is pictured sitting in front of a classical Roman balustrade, with a green pebble path leading into the meadows of a Western pastoral backdrop scenery. He wears a ring on his left index figure. His notes make the point that his weight has reached 145 jin (a Chinese measure, equal to half a kilogram), an increase over the 69 kilograms seven years earlier.

Now 34, Ye Jinglü is pictured wearing leather shoes for the first time. My surmise is that in the 1909 photo where he wears a Western suit he is also wearing leather shoes but sadly they do not make it into the photo. Or, possibly, he did not wear leather shoes but cloth shoes which he thought did not match the suit, so he told the photographer to keep them out of the frame.

This year he adopts a sitting pose. From this year on he starts alternating “sitting and standing” poses each year. This approach lasted for 26 years, only suspended in 1940.
