葉景呂選擇了在農曆九月初九重陽節（西曆10月18日）拍照，也許他已經覺得自己是一個老人了。 

葉景呂戴上了第四副眼鏡，這是當時很流行的玳瑁鏡架，鏡片也是平光和老花鏡上下拼接的。 照片於福州東街的光華照相館拍攝，下部印有光華中英文店名，這是葉景呂的照片上首次出現照相館的名稱。

Ye Jinglü escolheu ser fotografado no dia 18 de Outubro, o dia do Festival do Duplo Nove, designadamente, o nono dia do nono mês do calendário lunar. Talvez ele sentisse que já era um homem idoso. 

Aparece o quarto par de óculos: estes têm uma armação em tartaruga com lentes divididas em partes presbiópicas e simples. A fotografia foi tirada no Estúdio Fotográfico Kuang Hwa, na Rua Dongjie em Fuzhou. O nome Guanghua está impresso em chinês e em inglês na parte inferior e é a primeira vez que aparece o nome de um estúdio em qualquer das fotografias.

The fourth pair of glasses appears: these have a tortoise-shell frame with lens divided into plain and presbyopic parts. The photo was taken in the Kuang Hwa Photo Studio, Dongjie Street, Fuzhou. The name Guanghua is printed in Chinese and English in the lower part and is the first time a studio name appears in any of the photos.
