這是他第三次在室外拍攝肖像，攝於中華民國的國慶——10月10日。正是在這一年的4月18日，南京國民政府正式成立，中國自此基本結束了南北分治的局面。從晚清到民國，中國社會一直動盪不安，葉景呂儘管祇是個商人，但政治對社會的制約作用，他應當很清楚，此前的肖像照中，他在短暫的文字說明中時有涉及政治的文辭，就是明證。

É um dia de Outono nesta cidade sulista das árvores banianas, as ervas ainda estão vibrantes e verdes e os bambus balançam ao fundo. Ye Jinglü está sentado numa cadeira de madeira de espaldar redondo, olhando directamente para a câmara com uma expressão calma.
