破瓜之年的葉景呂在4月4日拍照。他額頭的皺紋明顯增多，頭上銀絲初現。

當時，正值日本軍隊第二次佔領福州，葉景呂上街時曾遭到了日軍士兵的野蠻侮辱。為了牢記這個奇恥大辱，葉先生特地在照片下的說明中寫道：“在淪陷期映（影），虛度六十四歲”。

Ye Jinglü foi fotografado no dia 4 de Abril. É óbvia a existência de mais rugas na sua testa e pela primeira vez vêem-se cabelos brancos. Pela segunda vez Fuzhou foi ocupada pelas tropas japonesas, que o humilharam quando saiu à rua. 

Ye Jinglü deu uma explicação particular sobre esta fotografia: “Esta fotografia foi tirada durante a ocupação japonesa. Tenho 64 anos de idade”. Usa os mesmos óculos bifocais com armação de tartaruga que usara em 1942.

Ye Jinglü had this photo taken on April 4. There are obviously more wrinkles on his forehead and for the first time we see white hairs. For the second time Fuzhou was occupied by Japanese troops, who had humiliated him when out on the street. 

He gave a particular explanation under this photo: “This was taken during the Japanese occupation. I am 64 years old.” He is wearing the same tortoiseshell presbyopic glasses that he wore in 1942.
